The Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline

You can reach out 24/7 — whether you’re being trafficked, you know someone who is, or you’re a trafficking survivor.

We’ll help you explore options that feel right for you. We’re not the government or law enforcement. Everything you share is confidential.  Call 1-833-900-1010.

Human trafficking knows no boundaries. It affects communities of all sizes — urban and rural, remote and central. That’s why the national hotline exists: to ensure that no matter where you are in Canada, you can get the support you need.

The Centre launched the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline in May 2019. This confidential, multilingual and trauma-informed service operates 24/7/365. It connects people who are being trafficked — and survivors — with local supports, services and law enforcement, if they so choose.

The hotline

  • Connects callers to services, including housing, case management, counselling, legal and emergency services
  • Educates and informs service providers, law enforcement, government officials, community members and anti-trafficking and allied professionals on how to support people being trafficked
  • Provides general information and resources about human trafficking
  • Offers guidance and support to people wanting to report human trafficking to law enforcement

National referral directory

The Centre has established relationships with over 1,000 social service organizations that offer a wide range of services, including emergency help and longer-term support. You can access these organizations through our national referral directory, which is publicly available on the hotline’s website. It’s a fast and easy way to connect with the local services that best meet your needs.
