About the Centre

Our Approach

The Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking is a national charity dedicated to ending all types of human trafficking in Canada. Established in 2016, we serve as a backbone organization — meaning we bring together partners across sectors to align efforts, build capacity and strengthen the national response to human trafficking. Our collaborators include non-profits, private sector businesses, governments and people with lived experience of human trafficking. Together with our partners, we promote best practices, streamline efforts and improve collaboration.

Our Values

Respect and honour

The greatest experts on human trafficking in Canada are survivors. We respect and honour their wisdom and stand in solidarity with them.

Collaboration

Collaboration makes us stronger. By working together, we can share knowledge, avoid duplication and amplify what’s working, so efforts to end human trafficking are more unified and effective.

Innovation

We strive for innovation by advancing collaborative and evidence-based solutions to eradicate trafficking and better support survivors. We promote approaches that are scalable, measurable and trackable, so we can better understand what’s working and where progress is being made.

Inclusivity

Solving the complex problem of human trafficking requires a wide range of voices and perspectives. We are committed to including people with diverse lived experiences and backgrounds in our work and decision-making processes.

Justice and equity

Justice and equity are paramount. Human trafficking is a human rights violation. We place the protection of all human rights at the centre of any measures taken to prevent and end human trafficking.
